Sure, when Jim Henson made the characters from Sesame Street, they were totally wholesome, but back when the man was younger, he used his puppetry skills for ads, and let’s just say they were kind of violent. Here are a few of these ads (1957 to 1961) for a local coffee brand called Wilkins. Behold:

Two of Jim Henson’s earliest Muppets in most of the gloriously sadistic commercials that persuade you to drink Wilkins Coffee or die. Wilkins and Wontkins would also be used for a variety of other brands, including Red Diamond Coffee. Recovered from Garrett Gilchrist’s suspended Henson Rarities channel.

This Teletubby Tidal Wave Machine is The Ultimate Abomination [Video]

Musician and mad inventor Sam Battle created the Teletubby tidal wave machine for the Ramsgate Festival Of Sound, a festival that celebrates the incredible history, landscapes, architecture and people of Ramsgate, Kent. As you’ll see after hitting the play button, this thing is truly the ultimate abomination, Ibut I’d love to see and activate it in person anyways!
