Forging the Viking Axe from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in Real Life [Video]

From That Works:

We forge the cover axe from the new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla game. During the video we share some fax about real viking axes as we forge this one based off of Boss Logic’s Cover Art that debuted the new game and that it would take place in the Viking era. We use a power hamer to do a lot of the forging but also show some hand techniques and we also use all of our forges. We start in the propane forge than move to coal and end up heat treating the axe and the back spike in the charcoal forge. We show some engraving into steel before the heat treat and some tricky grinding on our Brodbeck Ironworks belt sander.

Is This the PS5 Boot-Up Sound?

A little earlier this week, Sony announced a PS5 event for next week with a teaser video showing the new DualSense controller accompanied with what suspiciously sounds like a console boot-up sound. Here’s the 15-second annoucement:

Could this be the PS5 boot-up sound? It really sounds like a mix between the PS4 and PS2 boot-up sounds, right?

I guess we’ll have to wait until June 4th for the answer now!

WATCH HERE: NASA and SpaceX Launch Astronauts to Space! [Live Feed]

Update: Don’t you guys think it’s a little weird that just before the first stage rocket comes back down on the landing pad at T+00:09:20, the camera cuts off, and then when it goes live again, the rocket is there? Could it be the disruption of the signal by the rocket that’s coming down?

Watch history unfold on Saturday, May 30, as NASA and SpaceX launch astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley to the International Space Station. This mission marks the first time since the retirement of the space shuttle in 2011 that humans will fly to the space station from U.S. soil. The mission’s first launch attempt on Wednesday, May 27 was scrubbed due to weather conditions.

Tune in starting at 11 a.m. EDT as NASA and SpaceX provide joint, live coverage from launch to arrival at the space station. Teams are targeting 3:22 p.m. EDT for the launch of the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft atop a Falcon 9 rocket from historic Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The Crew Dragon is scheduled to dock to the space station on Sunday, May 31.
