Bodysuits let actors go through physical transformations that they couldn’t easily make on their own, from gaining weight to gaining muscle to being pregnant. Bodysuits don’t have to look very realistic if they are covered by clothes, but if the actor’s stomach or chest is exposed, then they will have to trick the viewers. For “Bill & Ted Face the Music,” legendary special makeup effects artist Kevin Yagher of Kevin Yagher Productions Inc. created muscle and fat suits for actors Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter. To make the muscle suits look real, Yagher and his team sculpted subtle veins and used an airbrush to paint on skin details like pores. They used silicone for the skin, as the material is translucent the same way human skin is, and foam latex underneath to help it move like a real body. Meanwhile, a realistic fat suit needs some jiggle to it. After working on the Nicolas Cage movie “Adaptation,” Yagher learned that stuffing a fake paunch with beads is the best way to make it bounce.

Are you a fan of both the Ghostbusters franchise and sneakers? If so, you’ll be happy to hear that Reebok has just unveiled its new Ghostbusters line of shoes. I’ll include the pictures below as well as the official press release:
From the official press release:
Today, Reebok, in collaboration with Sony Pictures Consumer Products, have called on the highly-sought-after Ghostbusters to unveil a full-family, full-body footwear and apparel capsule for Halloween 2020, honoring the legacy of the historic sci-fi-leading film franchise. The Ghostbusters x Reebok FW20 capsule – the first of two planned installments for the collection – is available globally beginning October 31 from Reebok.com and Rock City Kicks, among other select retailers.
Debuted in June of 1984, supernatural phenomenon Ghostbusters is considered one of the most influential comedic pictures of all-time and a pioneer of special-effects driven comedy. With heritage in their DNA, admired underdog mentalities, ethos powered by otherworldly tech and a drive to push the boundaries of exploration and innovation, Reebok and Ghostbusters have finally joined forces in time for “paranormal season.”
Shared characteristics have been brought to life on the capsule’s first two narrative Reebok footwear designs:
Ghostbusters x Reebok “Ghostsmasher”
($150, FY2106)
Constructed specifically for the collaboration, nods “Ghostsmasher” – the original film’s title before it was officially released as “Ghostbusters”.
Designed with a worn aesthetic as if the shoe – uncovered today – was created for the original ‘80s film.
Quilted collar material matches ghost-busting jumpsuits.
Sneakers from the capsule will ship in repurposed OG Pump packaging from the 80’s. On the box, “Less talk… …more busting” is seen written over its classic Reebok logo while “This is how it ends” nods the ominous Ghostbusters vibe.
In addition to its main footwear styles, the collection will feature matching Ghostbusters x Reebok apparel including short-sleeve tees and crewneck sweaters available in black or white, as well as a limited-edition real-life full-body boiler suit simulating iconic “Ghostbusters” jumpsuits.
The Ghostbusters x Reebok FW20 footwear and apparel capsule is available globally beginning October 31 – Halloween, 2020 – from Reebok.com and Rock City Kicks among other select local retailers
NASA, in partnership with Nokia, has just announced that they will be putting 4G Internet on the moon by 2022, with plans to roll out 5G progressively over time. That means that when installed, Nokia’s 4G LTE base station will be located around 238,900 miles above us!
Nokia is expected to upgrade to 5G from 4G over time, allowing astronauts to communicate through audio and video calls, among other things. The use of their internet and wireless communication will help with data transmission, including command and control functions, remote navigation of lunar robots, streaming high-definition video in space, exchanging biometric data, etc.
In a statement, Marcus Weldon, chief technology officer at Nokia, detailed the company’s plans for moon mobile phone network technology: “Leveraging our rich and successful history in space technologies, from pioneering satellite communication to discovering the cosmic microwave background radiation produced by the Big Bang, we are now building the first ever cellular communications network on the Moon,” he explains, “Reliable, resilient and high-capacity communications networks will be key to supporting sustainable human presence on the lunar surface.”
Ultimately, according to Nokia, their and NASA’s shared goal is to “deploy the first LTE/ 4G communications system in space” and “help pave the way towards sustainable human presence on the lunar surface.”
John Collins, also known as ‘The Paper Airplane Guy,’ teaches us how to fold and fly our very own “Tube” paper airplane. The Tube doesn’t look like much, but it can certainly fly! You throw the Tube very much like you throw a football, letting the ring spin off of your fingertips. That rotation helps create lift, and lets the airplane do its thing.
