We’ve all imagined and seen artists interpret the vision: AT-AT and AT-ST walkers from Star Wars being pictured as the dogs of the Galactic Empire. In the world of painter Ashley Raine, AT-AT walkers appear to be good boys that do the biding of their masters, who, by the look of these paintings, seem to love them dearly. For those interested, prints are available for purchase, but the originals are all gone.
This Star Wars parody art is perfect for Imperial War Machine lovers and Sith Sympathizers, but also for any Star Wars fan who loves their fur-babies!

The Original Mah-Na, Mah-Na on Sesame Street (1969) [Video]
https://youtu.be/x3YkkmMxjV0
Here’s the original Muppet performance (in best quality) of “Mah-Na, Mah-Na” (or “Mah Nร Mah Nร ”, composed by Piero Umiliani, the song first written for use in the Italian film “Sweden – Heaven and Hell”).
This performance first aired on Episode #14 of Sesame Street, which premiered on Thursday, November 29th 1969. (three days later, on Sunday, November 30th 1969, a modified version of the sketch appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show)
This was before the same musical piece (in a different arrangement) would be featured by Benny Hill in various sketches (as beginning in 1971). (the Mah-Na, Mah-Na sketch would later also be remade most famously on The Muppet Show, in a 1977 edition on which Juliet Prowse was guest. It’s this version that people are likely most familiar with)
It starts with two girl Muppets (voiced by Loretta Long and Frank Oz) saying they could sing a song if only one other joined them. At this point, the “Mah-Na, Mah-Na” Muppet (later christened “Bip Bippadotta” for distinction), voiced by Jim Henson, comes up to them, only intoning said phrase, at which the number begins and at two points he does some scat singing. In the end, the girls leave, and he goes gradually off away from the camera.

Disney’s Live Action Cruella Get Its First “Joker-Esque” Trailer [Video]
The upcoming Cruella movie, based on the Disney’s animated character Cruella de Vil, is scheduled to hit the big screen in the US on May 28, 2021. The live action flick retells the story of young fashion designer Estella de Vil who becomes obsessed with dogs’ skins, more specifically Dalmatians, and ends up becoming the horrible character we all know as Cruella.
Anyone else is reminiscent of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker while watching this? It definitely has a similar vibe!
Mark Hamill Performs “Will You Wear A Mask? I Ask” #Staysafe
Listen as beloved geek icon Mark Hamill performs “Will You Wear A Mask? I Ask,” a rhyming read-aloud picture book featuring two opposing characters discussing the need to wear a mask in public. The poem comes from the illustrated book of the same name by author Tom Ruegger. Naturally, Hamill, using his legendary voice acting skills, play the role of both characters, a shopkeeper asking the customer to wear a mask, and a patron who refuses to do so. All proceeds from this video will go to World Central Kitchen, a not-for-profit organization devoted to providing meals in the wake of natural disasters.
If you do not like your current masks, you can always find some geektastic pop culture themed ones over at our online store. Please note that for every one of our non-medical mask sold, one medical grade mask gets donated to Direct Relief.
