HBO Drops First Trailer for The Last of Us Season 2 Ahead of April 2025 Release

The Last of Us Season 2

In a world decimated by infection and survival, hope is a rare commodity. HBO has dropped a new teaser trailer for The Last of Us Season 2, confirming the premiere in April 2025. The trailer not only amps up the tension but also dives deeper into the post-apocalyptic world Joel and Ellie must navigate. After five years of fragile peace, their pasts come back to haunt them, pulling them into an even darker chapter filled with danger, betrayal, and moral dilemmas.

Season 2, partly based on The Last of Us Part II video game, introduces a time skip that brings even greater challenges to Joel and Ellie. The seven-episode season will explore the evolution of their relationship while confronting new external and internal threats. In a world where trust is scarce and danger lurks around every corner, survival becomes even harder.

Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey return as Joel and Ellie, while Gabriel Luna reprises his role as Tommy and Rutina Wesley returns as Maria. The biggest new addition to the cast is Kaitlyn Dever, who plays Abby. Her character is integral to the story, and while the trailer teases her journey, it’s best to avoid spoilers for those unfamiliar with the game.
