Hold on to your popcorn, because Hellboy: The Crooked Man just dropped a clip that’ll make you rethink strolls through the woods. In this newly released scene, Hellboy’s wandering through the forest when he stumbles upon a woman floating in mid-air. Weird enough, right? Well, things get weirder when a giant snake shows up from the most unexpected place possible and decides it’s snack time. It’s spooky, unsettling, and will make you avoid the woods for a while.

The movie’s slithering past theaters and going straight to Digital on October 8 for $19.99, and if you can survive the chills, it’ll hit VOD on October 22 for $6.99.

Starring Jack Kesy as Hellboy and Adeline Rudolph as a rookie agent, this 1950s-set film has them facing off against the Crooked Man, a soul-snatching menace collecting for the devil. Directed by Brian Taylor (Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance), and written by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola, it’s been called the “most faithful adaptation yet.”

I guess we’ll have to wait an see if that’s actually the case.
