Netflix recently unveiled the first look at Liam Hemsworth stepping into the monster-slaying boots of Geralt of Rivia for The Witcher, and to tell you frankly, Hemsworth’s portrayal of the White Wolf looks uncannily like Henry Cavill’s. Watch below:

When you look at both actors off-set, they don’t particularly resemble one another. However, dressed in the iconic Witcher costume and beneath the white wig, the similarity is striking. Netflix’s teaser video, even if it’s very short and shadowy, will probably make you go: I can’t believe it’s not Cavill!

Whether Hemsworth can channel Cavill’s brooding charisma remains to be seen, but for now, at least on the surface, the switch might not be as jarring as initially feared. As The Witcher continues, it will certainly be interesting to see how Hemsworth makes this iconic role his own.
