After releasing their massive D&D set last month, LEGO is back with another giganting project for all you Tolkien geeks out there! Behold the towering menace that is the 5,471-piece LEGO Barad-Dûr set, unveiled on the same day as the trailer for the second season of The Rings of Power, which features Barad-Dûr in its early days.
Standing at over 32 inches tall, this modular set features intricately designed sections including a throne room, prison, armory, and yes, even a kitchen—because even Dark Lords need to snack! At the pinnacle of the tower sits the Eye of Sauron, with a special light-up feature to strike fear into the hearts of all who gaze into it.
But what’s a LEGO set without its characters? Barad-Dûr comes with 10 minifigures straight from Tolkien’s tale, including Gollum, Sam, Frodo, and the fearsome Mouth of Sauron! And let’s not forget Sauron himself, complete with his mace from the Battle of the Last Alliance.
Mark your calendars—LEGO’s Lord of the Rings Barad-Dûr set hits shelves June 1 for insiders, and June 4 for everyone else. It’s priced at $460, and early birds will receive a bonus Fell Beast set (with posible wings) and a Nazgul minifig to go along with it, ensuring your LEGO Middle-earth is complete with its most dreaded creatures. Are you ready to answer the call to adventure?
