Get ready to dust off your capes because Heroes could be making a comeback! Showrunner Tim Kring is reviving the 2006 superhero series with a continuation titled Heroes: Eclipsed. Set years after the events of the original show, this new iteration introduces a fresh generation of powered individuals known as “evos.” As these new heroes awaken to their extraordinary abilities, they find themselves facing both familiar villains and new adversaries in a battle to save the world.
The timing couldn’t be more symbolic as the project is being pitched during the week of a solar eclipse, a recurring motif from the original series.
This isn’t the first time Heroes has returned to our screens. In 2015, the limited series Heroes Reborn brought back the superhero saga with a new group of evos navigating a world where superpowers are a reality. Now, with Heroes: Eclipsed, fans can look forward to another chapter in the saga, with the potential for appearances from characters from the original series.
While the revival is still in the pitching stage, both NBC and streaming platforms have been approached to bring this ongoing series to life. With the legacy of Heroes still burning bright in the hearts of some fans, the prospect of a new generation of heroes taking center stage is enough to make any superhero enthusiast eager for its return.
