The goal was to ensure Sashimi could hunt for food in the wild after being hand-fed for most of her life. The maze, designed to mimic natural conditions, showcased Sashimi’s impressive problem-solving skills and adaptability, reinforcing the octopus’s reputation as a highly intelligent creature.
