Back in July, Lego artist “legotruman” released a conceptual Lego Idea set based on Vincent Van Gogh’s iconic Starry Night painting. Fast forward to February 2021, LEGO has just announced that they will be releasing an official set based on legotruman’s gorgeous creation!

From the official LEGO Idea blog:

A huge congratulations to Truman Cheng (aka legotruman) as his Vincent van Gogh: The Starry Night recreation has been selected as one of the next LEGO Ideas sets. Truman’s fan concept of one of the most famous paintings and painters illustrates a whole new way to think about LEGO art, which is truly remarkable.

Apart from the 3D recreation of the painting, the 1,552-piece set also includes a Van Gogh minifig, a paint brush, a painting palette, easel, and a minuature version of the painting on a printed tile.

Unforunately, LEGO has not revealed the set’s official release date nor it’s price yet, but we’ll make sure to let you guys know when the information comes out! Stay tuned!
