So yeah, everyone is freaking out about Dalgona coffee (whipped coffee) these days on the Intertubes, so Alton Brown decided to try and mix a batch, and he really liked it. Also, after I’m done posting this, I’ll try making some for myself!
What you’ll need:
-12 grams of instant espresso (1 tablespoon) (I used NESCAFÉ Gold Espresso Instant Coffee) (Suggestion: Bump the quantity to 1 1/2 tablespoon)
-60 grams of hot water (5 tablespoons)
-40 grams of sugar (3 tablespoons)
-1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
-A mixer and a bowl (I used a large pyrex measuring cup and an Ikea manual mixer)
After bringing all the ingredients together, put the hot water and sugar in your bowl and disolve the sugar by swirling the water around. Then, add the coffee and vanilla extract and mix everything (using the mixer, of course) until you get a nice, thick, brown creamy mixture. Now pour yourself half a glass of milk, and dollop said creamy mixture on top of the milk. Enjoy.
Update: It’s amazing. Also added the approximate equivalence in tablespoons to the list above. Who has the time to weigh ingredients anyways? Also, next time, I’ll add more instant coffee and a little less sugar. I would have liked it stronger and less sweet.
