As I’m sure you’ve heard, Thinkgeek is shutting down its website and merging with Gamestop next month. I’ve been following the brand since its start in 1999 when it was owned by Andover, the same people behind Slashdot at the time. It’s the end of an era, and a really sad one. Thinkgeek employed some of the coolest and most awesome geeks on the web, created products that no one ever thought would one day exist, and had the absolute best april fools’ day pranks of the Internet. I really hope Gamestop will follow the same path!
