Migration Pattern of 118 Different Species (Animated Graph)

For those of you who still don’t know, Geeks Are Sexy is a Canadian-based website. So after our crazy winter, it is a gentle relief to see the terrifying geese reappear, finally indicating the end of this white, freezing hell.

It left us wondering just what distance these aggressive little things actually travel. Our friends over at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration made this amazing animated graph (below) showing not only the distance traveled by geese, but also the migration pattern of 118 different species, and how they use the different air currents to help them out on their journey.
