If you’re a Harry Potter fan, and I know a lot of people reading Geeks are Sexy are, you probably already know that Harry Potter is turning 20 today! On June 26 in 1997, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was released to the public, and for many, the world was changed forever!
Since early this morning, fans from all over the planet have started sharing some of their thoughts and stories on Twitter about how Harry Potter changed their world by using the hashtag #HarryPotter20. Here are a few memorable ones (they might take a few seconds to load:)

From J.K. Rowling herself:
20 years ago today a world that I had lived in alone was suddenly open to others. It's been wonderful. Thank you.#HarryPotter20
