For those not aware of it yet, Apple has butchered the new iphone by removing one very important feature of the phone. This comic illustrates our feelings about this change perfectly:
Yes, Apple has removed the traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack on the new iPhone and expect people to start using wireless headphones. Now, if you want to use your old headphones, you will have to use the provided lightning adapter to plug them in, blocking access to the lightning port while they’re in use. This is the adapter:
Now I don’t know about you, but I think this decision will keep customers away from the new models. I guess only time will tell.
Oh, and if you lose the adapter, which as far as I’m concerned has a very high chance of happening, you will have to pay $9.99 for a replacement.
Also, these people resume the situation quite well:
If you go on a trip with iPhone 7, remember to bring a battery to charge the battery that charges the battery in your AirPods. #AppleEvent
