I’m sure you’ve all wondered about what happened to Princess Leia, now known as General Leia Organa, between ROTJ and “The Force Awakens,” and now, thanks to an upcoming novel, you won’t have to wonder anymore.
The book finds her as a high-ranking senator in the New Republic. However, Leia realizes something is awry. We know the New Republic signed a Galactic Concordance with the Empire in the years after the Battle of Endor, but that the Empire didn’t quit. The First Order rose from the organization’s ashes, and Leia could sense the impending doom. Gray told USA Today that this new generation doesn’t remember the past, but that “Leia begins to see the cracks in the foundation that could lead to a dangerous future for the galaxy.” [Source]
I hope the novel lets us learn more about the childhood of Leia and Han’s son, Ben Organa-Solo, or Skywalker-Solo!
