A company called Double Robotics makes telepresence robots, including models that display the user’s face so that they can “be” in a location remotely. To show off the technology, they made one such robot available for anyone to control online, making sure to keep it in a room with a closed door. That is until one day somebody noticed that the door had been left very slightly ajar and took the robot on an adventure…
