I’m in a glass case of emotion over here, you guys.
Seriously.
Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has PERSONALLY denied the rumors that Nathan Fillion would be playing Nova in a small scene of the film. We reported last week that it was just a rumor, but still.
We almost all wanted it, didn’t we?!
The rumors of my pal @NathanFillion playing Nova in #guardiansofthegalaxy have been greatly (and entirely) exaggerated. Sorry, humans.

Gunn DID CONFIRM, however, that Fillion will appear in the film.
“@STARS_TyranT: Are the rumours true that he has some part in the film?” @nathanfillion has a very small fun cameo he did as a favor to me. — James Gunn (@JamesGunn) June 21, 2014
Of course, you COULD argue Gunn is pulling an “Abrams” and just saying Fillion isn’t Nova, but then he probably wouldn’t have tweeted this:
“@burnettski92: @NathanFillion Just what you’d say if you wanted to keep his appearance a surprise.” I would never & have never lied to fans

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see, won’t we? Nevertheless, I remain excited about GotG. I just would really like to see Fillion play a superhero some day [soon]. Of course, since his small part in the movie has not been revealed, I guess there’s still some hope, right?
