Showtime and Britain’s Sky Atlantic have teamed up for a new series entitled Penny Dreadful, and Doctor Who‘s Billie Piper is the last actor to join the stellar lineup!

According to Deadline, Piper will play “an Irish immigrant trying to escape a dark past.” The show also stars Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton, Eva Green, Harry Treadaway as Victor Frankenstein, and Reeve Carney as Dorian Gray.

Penny Dreadful is described as being a “psychosexual horror series features some of literature’s most frightening and iconic figures as they grapple with alienation in Victorian London” and it will be penned by John Logan (Gladiator, Skyfall) and be produced by Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Skyfall).
