Taking a page right out of a Stephen King novel some…person?? has been donning a red wig and white clown makeup and just STANDING on the streets of Northampton, England (specifically, the Abington and Kingsley areas).

A Facebook page for him called Spot Northampton’s Clown appeared on Friday the 13th (natch) and already has over 18,000 Likes. The page appears to be run by the clown himself and he often leaves clues as to where he’ll next be seen. The hashtag #northamptonclown is also all over Twitter.

According to the Northampton Herald & Post, the clown has reportedly knocked on someone’s door and offered to paint the windowsills, despite having no painting equipment with him.

Over the weekend, the clown was seen “waving forlornly with a clown teddy hanging from his other hand.”

According to a comment on the Facebook page made by the clown himself, he isn’t trying to terrorize people, he “just want[s] to be spotted.”
