I’m in the Phoenix, Arizona area for the entire month of May, in part to prepare for my move there in a few months.

I figured that Free Comic Book Day – which also fell on May the Fourth this year – was as good a time as any to begin exploring the geek community in Phoenix. One comics and games shop, Pop Culture Paradise, made me feel like I was back home in Atlanta, Georgia, the nerdiest city in the U.S.

I think I’m gonna like it here.
