In 2009, artist Klari Reis’s Daily Dish project was displayed in a museum in Shanghai. Working with reflective epoxy polymer inside Plexiglass petri dishes, the artist creates intricate, colorful renditions of microbial growth. Following up her Shanghai exhibit, Reis has begun Daily Dish 2013, posting a new painted dish every day of the year. Here are a few of my favorites, as well as the installation process for her show in China.
