Over the weekend, the Wellington Airport in New Zealand unveiled Weta Workshop’s new creation – a massive, suspended Gollum – in anticipation for the world premiere of ‘The Hobbit’.
Gollum is almost 40 feet long and features him “grabbing for fishes” above travelers’ heads. It took Weta four months to build him — including robotics and actual chainsaws.
