We’re big fans of the Symphony of Science series here at [GAS]. The latest installment, “Children of Africa”, follows the rise of humankind from the moment “in a parched African landscape Man first put his foot to the ground” until they “flung themselves and their machines into interplanetary space.”
A musical celebration of humanity, its origins, and achievements, contrasted with a somber look at our environmentally destructive tendencies and deep similarities with other primates.
“Children of Africa” features Jacob Bronowski, Alice Roberts, Carolyn Porco, Jane Goodall, Robert Sapolsky, Neil deGrasse Tyson and David Attenborough.
You can watch the rest of the Symphony of Science series on the SoS website or melodysheep‘s YouTube channel, where there are full transcripts of the videos should you need them.
